Time-honored timepiece craftsmanship and acclaimed modern design coalesce to form the Porsche Design P’6750 Worldtimer.

Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, designer of the Porsche 911 and grandson of the Porsche founder, opened the Porsche Design Studio in 1972. Throughout the following decades, numerous classic men’s accessories such as watches, glasses and writing utensils were created and marketed worldwide under the Porsche Design brand.

Eterna has been making precision watch movements since 1856 with a rich tradition of innovation and craftsmanship. The company was acquired in 1995 by the Porsche family and started manufacturing Porsche Design watches under license in 1998.

The P’6750 Worldtimer is the latest collaboration between the two companies. The design is typified by the simple cylindrical shape and almost sharp right-angle edges for which Porsche Design has become known. Titanium is the typical material of choice for Porsche Design and the P’6750 follows suit. The watch is fitted with a black caouchouc strap with a latitude and longitude pattern in profile on the inside for enhanced wearer comfort by allowing air to penetrate between the skin and strap.

The Worldtimer is an ideal watch for the frequent traveler, displaying the time in two different zones simultaneously. An additional crown with an integrated button makes the world time settings easy to change. The current time is indicated with the hour, minute and second hands while two dial openings indicate a reference location of the 24 world time zones and its local time. The reference locations are displayed in the dial opening with a three-letter code. By pressing a button, the time at the destination is transmitted immediately to the hour hand without losing a second. The explanation of the codes are engraved on the watch back.

In March, the P’6750 was recognized with the iF Product Design Award solidifying its place as a world-class timepiece.
