LFTP: A look ahead.

March madness is upon us. No, college basketball fans, I’m not talking about the March Madness. I’m talking about the time of the year when people start to wake up and prepare for the busy Spring/Summer activity ahead. About a third of the events that go on every year seem to happen in April and May. The design world is buzzing with Architecture Month, Design Week and so many other design related events.

This year, we continue the Phoenix Contemporary Design Fair in a new location. It’s still in downtown Phoenix and still in a historic warehouse, don’t worry. The show will be April 23rd-25th at the Anchor Manufacturing Building on Central and Lincoln. For all the info visit the PCDF web site.

We have released our first podcast episode of Design Details and are currently filming the next one to be released later in March. The first one features a look at the new aloft Hotel in Tempe, Arizona and the IIDA Southwest Chapter Couture 09 Fit to Fashion Show. The next episode will feature a PCDF preview, an interview with Spanish artist Quim Bove and a couple other surprises. You can subscribe to the podcast for free.

For those of you lucky enough to have an iPhone, kontaktmag has a mobile version of the site making it easy to access the latest design articles from just about anywhere. We are also putting the finishing touches on our iPhone app and should be releasing the initial version before the end of March.

There’s a few more things going on that I have to keep a lid on for now but I will keep you posted as soon as anything develops.
