It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the most innovative company in the electronics industry is making a strong commitment to the environment. The announcement of the new MacBook line had sustainability in the subtitles, with features such as arsenic-free glass, mercury-free and PVC-free design along with a case carved from a single slab of aluminum for fewer parts and higher recycleability. Over the years, Apple has been drastically reducing the size of their packaging for less waste. The MacBook itself is even more energy efficient utilizing an auto-dimming LED backlit display and a processor that throttles down when idle and even between keystrokes when typing.
