Phoenix has had shoe stores before, but never one with its own zip code.
Enter 10022-SHOE, Saks Fifth Avenue’s newest department in the Biltmore Fashion Park location. Modeled after New York’s flagship shoe salon, it will add designers such as Valentino and Givenchy to already impressive lines that include Prada, Christian Louboutin and CHANEL.
With warm, light, neutral colors highlighted by gold and silver metallics, as well as jewel-toned upholstery, 10022-SHOE is a shoe salon designed from the very start to make shopping more of an experience and less of a chore.
Don’t expect to see racks and racks of offerings, as the look and feel of the store is now as important as the shoes it carries.
Multi-sensory shoe displays feature white glass, antique mirrors, limestone, white Carrera marble and gray-stained wood. The space, accented by a unique variety of chandeliers and modern tables from Eero Saarinen and Warren Platner, as well as vintage furniture pieces and curved custom-design banquette, creates an air of intimacy and relaxation, not unlike a day spa.
