You’ve seen this company featured in kontakt before, but Voltaic Systems, the innovators behind the original solar backpack, plans to release a new laptop bag that generates enough solar power to charge laptops! Laptop users can now unplug from the power grid and power up from the sun. The bag includes a battery pack custom designed to capture and store solar power so it is available whether the sun is up or not. It features a single solar panel to produce up to 14.7 watts of power to charge laptops and other handheld electronic devices. The bag is constructed from fabrics made with recycled soda bottles (PET), which are tough, waterproof and UV resistant. It will be available this spring in 4 different colors.
