One Manhattan Square-Vertical Village for the LES

February 22, 2017
|

Designed by Adamson Associates Architects, in a waterfront location with 100,000-square foot of amenities, epic views and lush gardens – One Manhattan Square is a true vertical village. Located along the East River waterfront with unobstructed panoramic water and skyline views, the building will pioneer an era of luxury on the Lower East Side.

A custom-glass curtain façade, designed by Adamson Associates Architects was intelligently engineered to allow residents to take in iconic skyline and river views. Known for its innovative design and technical expertise, Adamson Associates designed One Manhattan Square to reflect a delicate interplay of natural elements, resulting in a balanced and cohesive aesthetic. The podium, building entrances, and parts of the tower facade are clad in muntz metal, comprised of copper and zinc, bringing a warm, earthy tone to the structure. The silver glass of the tower represents the reflectivity of water. Chevrons in the glass give the tower a beautiful shimmer that evokes the sea and reflects the surrounding sky.

A lifestyle package of this scale has never been offered in Manhattan,” says Raizy Haas, Senior Vice President of Development for Extell. “This is one of the last neighborhoods in Manhattan where value can be found at attainable price points with offerings that rival the most exclusive buildings.”

Nowhere is New York’s multicultural history more legible than in the Lower East Side. Glamour and grandeur sidle up to graffiti and grit in this proud home to avant-garde galleries, boutiques and trail-blazing bars. One Manhattan Square will be steps away from the buzzing energy of this evolving neighborhood with some of the City’s finest dining, nightlife and entertainment options. Residents will also be near the City’s top schools including Parsons, New York University and Cooper Union.
