Modern Amusement is clothing label inspired by international art, music, technology and design. The California-based company distinguishes itself with attention to ironic detail, sophisticated ease, whimsical nature, graphic energy and sense of humor.

For Spring 2009, Modern Amusement will release their Artist Series, showcasing their graphic sensibility and intelligent sense of humor. The inaugural collection features Los Angeles based Eric Nyquist and Brooklyn based Jonathan Cammisa who put their own unique twist on the brand’s trademark crow.

Eric Nyquist is a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His work can be found in publications such as Communication Arts and CMYK. His clients include Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Walt Disney Consumer Products, Heineken USA and Vibe Magazine.

Jonathan Cammisa was born and raised in Philadelphia and now lives and works in Brooklyn. His work is featured in Arkitip #35 and his list of clients include Beams Japan, Krooked Skateboards, Element Skateboards, Monument Snowboards, and MTV.
